So thanks to my lovely friend @insanelyadd and their hecking wonderful drawing and writing skills, I now have the worst brainrot known to man for their collector oc’s so I decided to design a collector oc for myself because I need to smooch them so badly. Her name is Eclipse (full name Eclipse Sun technically) and she hails from the Sun Family. I am so excited to share her lore but if you guys have any questions about her then feel free to shoot me an ask. And if you want any in-depth lore regarding the sun or other families, shoot my friend an ask cus they are so talented and creative.

Ok so im reading JTTW and im only on chapte rtwo but theres a cute part i found that i wanted to show you

so at this part, wukong has come bakc from trying to find immortality with subodhi and defeated the demon that was tormenting the other monkeys from flower Fruit mountain. And they're like asking questions about where he was and "wow you got powers now!!" And hes like "these years were great but the besf thing that i got was a name for our family" and he tells them about the name he recieved, Sun Wukong, and heres wha they actually say(in the translation im reading):

"If the king is The Great Sun, then we are all Little Sun. Our family is the Sun Family, and that is what our nation and our cave are called."

If this whole thing isnt really cute idk what it is

Guys I litteraly love the sun family. Like Sun Wukongs family is so cute and they love each other and I love them.

The fact Wukong says that he's glad he's immortal but what's important is that he now has a name for his family.

You know, how protective the sun family is over Wukong, like not allowed to disrespect the king, or getting attacked and called out, it will take awhile for the monkeys to trust Macaque around Wukong, since they know how mentally ill Wukong is, like MK can go freely to flower fruit mountain but Mei or other too maybe.

Infodump time: I hc that monkey demons/celestials are very social beings and tend to be very touchy. They sleep in groups, primarily familiar units, so it’s common to have children sleep with their parents even after they leave early childhood.

Both Wukong and Xiaotian are clingy people, Wukong is just unconsciously more clingy that Xiaotian tho, meanwhile Macaque is just vibing, he definitely reciprocates when the other two initiate but he doesn’t tend to feel a need to be in contact with others, Mac thinks it has to do with how he grew up before he ended up in FFM, Wukong thinks he just needs to feel the joy of cuddling Mac will get it soon (it’s been more than a thousand years someone hold an intervention for Wukong pls)

Even after Mac and Xiaotian move out of the Celestial Realm, any time they visit Wukong they wind up nesting together for the whole time the visit lasts

(don’t think about how Macaque and Xiaotian have each other, while Wukong has nobody, don’t think about it—)

Every night they take their space in the nest, but by the end of the night they’re cuddling close together

…which is a problem for Xiaotian who ends up in the middle
